Miami lovers from all over the world, let me introduce to you Merrie Christmas Park. That’s right, just like the holiday, but with an ie. We all typically know about Miami as wild nights and questionable fashion choices but that’s exactly why we love it so freaking much! However, for those of you that avoid Miami for those exact reasons, then let me help you reconsider your choices and invite you to take a stroll in this little park.

STORYTIME!

About 2 weeks or so ago, a good friend of mine and I were on our way to Miami to participate in a protest for I.C.E.

**For those of you who don’t know much about I.C.E., here is a recent article published on the matter: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article232615582.html#storylink=cpy

Anyway, we, unfortunately, arrived at the very end of the protest and didn’t get to actually participate, so we decided to make it a little lunch outing instead. We decided on Pub-subs (Publix subs) for lunch, because why not? We were planning on going to the beach with our pub-subs, but we misunderstood the name of the neighborhood for a beach and ended up getting lost. In the process of getting out of the neighborhood we got lost in, we decided we wanted to go to a park instead. That’s when we stumbled upon this beauty. (This is where it starts getting good!)

We parked the car the second we spotted the park and we made our way over to a picnic table (that just so happened to be placed perfectly in front of the picture shown above.) As we sat down and enjoyed our lunch, we were pleasantly surprised by the strong and powerful sense of peace and serenity the park provided. The park is not big, but it was quiet and in the middle of a residential area. No blaring traffic passing by.

I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to do yoga, meditate, journal, have a picnic, or even take your kids to the cute little playground they have. This place was created to help you relax, recharge, and reconnect, and it does EXACTLY that! I only have one suggestion, take some bug repellent. The mosquitos are aware of this little paradise and they are NOT shy!

If you guys wish to visit a little piece of heaven on earth, then check this place out! You can find more information HERE for its exact location.

For those of you who do get a chance to check this place out, I would love to hear about your experiences in the comments below!

For more quiet spots in the heart of South Florida, make your way over to Coral Springs for a sunset you won’t regret.
