Have you talked to your Team? (You should)

The human experience is a tricky one. With so many sensories, it’s hard to keep ourselves in alignment with our true heart’s desires; especially when ego and emotions never fail to make a play. This is why we all have a Team—to guide us in our moments of uncertainty. 

 

First off, what are you talking about?

Good question; when we were born, we were all assigned a Team. Each of them are given a special talent, assisting us at different times in our lives. Some may be with us for our entire lifespan, while others may just come visit for a night. Regardless of the time they spend with us, they are placed there by us (“us” being our souls) in order to help us fulfill our life purpose and clear karmic debts.

 

 

Who is on my Team?

Our Team can be both dead and/or alive. Confused? It’s okay, I expected it. Let me explain: 

Have you ever met a stranger and felt like you’ve known them your entire life? These people—I like to call them Earth Angels— look no different than you and I; two eyes, one nose, five fingers (sometimes), and they can be anyone in your life, from your father to a complete stranger. They mirror our insecurities and they place bandages over our wounds. 

The other group of “people” on our Team are Spirit Guides. Spirit Guides are gut feelings, they’re the tiny voice in your head telling you to stay home, take a left, or trust your intuition. These angels, or spirits, make sure that we’re properly equipped to continue fulfilling our life’s path.

They can only intervene when you ask them to, or whenever they have to protect you from a fate that’s not yours. These are angelic forces, deceased loved ones, ascended masters, or friendly spirits that live by our side for different periods of time. Their guidance is always given in our highest favor and only in the language of love. 

 

 

How do I talk to them?

When talking to the ones closest to us (the ones here on Earth,) talk to them about your dreams, problems, fears, and desires. Trust them with your pain, emotions, and insecurities. Let them both teach you and learn from you, as you have just as much to offer as they do. Whether it’s a parent, a sibling, a best friend or comforting stranger, allow yourself to trust in the moment and surrender.

As for our Spirit Guides, you can talk to them whenever you’d like. They are with us on a daily basis and can be heard through prayer, meditation, or casual conversation. In your moment with your Guides, allow yourself to be completely open and vulnerable in order to receive their guidance.

For example, when something is really heavy on my spirit, I write it all down. All my thoughts, concerns, worries, solutions, and desires. I write till I feel I can’t write anymore. I call it journaling confessions. I then fold my sheet of paper, place it in an envelope, and seal it. I write the date on the front and throw it into my God box.

This is my favorite way to completely surrender something to my Team. However, I’m in constant conversation with my Team as well. In fact, I’m sure they want me to shut up. If you see me walking down the street with headphones on, I’m probably talking to my Team… But you’d just think I’m listening to music (trick of the trade).

 

Do they talk back?

My favorite part about talking to them is asking for signs. Signs can be given in many different forms. They can be given through a repeated series of numbers, advice from a stranger, or the lyrics to a song. Your Team will use whatever they feel will get through to you the best. If you want a specific sign, ask for it.

As for me, my Team speaks to me the most through music and numbers. It’s a creative and interesting way to get reassurance that you’re on your path. The more you start to notice “the little things”, the more you’ll see that signs are everywhere.

 

But don’t forget!

In all dimensions, we are loved, protected, and guided. We must always remember this, especially when it gets dark and nothing seems to be falling into place. Take yourself out to dinner, or go for a walk on a nice day. Keep it light, true to you, and always fun.  

I recently came across a quote that was posted by a friend; it said:

“ Focus on the good, and the good will get better” 

Cheesy I know (I’m a sucker for that shit y’all), but that was a transformational moment for me, and exactly what I needed to see at that moment and time. 

 

Learn to talk to your Team. Trust you’re never in it alone. And if you feel you don’t have a Team, then reach out to me. Together we are stronger. As a unit, we are wiser. And as a Team, we can fly higher.
