The concept that we are energetic beings has always fascinated me. Several studies have been published around miraculous healings of cancer or heart disease, and although nobody can explain how it happened, those who were gifted another chance prove that both science and spirituality can, and should, coexist.
Science vs. Spirituality
Neuroscientist Dr. Joe Dispenza believes we can create our own reality through meditation and manipulating the quantum field. What does this mean? Well, it means you have superpowers and no one told you about it until now. On the bright side, you now have the key to your success.
In the documentary “What the Bleep Do we Know” a series of scientists explain the relationship of how our thoughts create emotions and those emotions create energetic pulses and patterns within us. These energetic patterns release information into the quantum field and create your reality, accordingly. For example; have you ever said no to trying something new because you thought you couldn’t do it? Have you ever tried something you thought you couldn’t do? Exactly. The power of belief can lead to a series of reactions that will eventually resolve into something.
The Sweet Spot
However, what I found most fascinating was the coexisting nature of proving both science and spirituality right. They believed in a God-like energy source and were comfortable with the idea that they will never have all the answers. It’s comforting if you ask me. Besides, I’d much rather believe I have some invisible force working by my side, than to believe I’m alone against the things that scare me the most.
Lacy Phillips backs up this theory with workshops in neuroscience, epigenetics, and creating new neural pathways in the reality you wish to live. As a member of the pathway, I’ve seen firsthand what daily meditations, introspective conversations, and healthy boundaries have done for my life. It’s both easy and excruciatingly uncomfortable at times, but the rewards have always been laced with a sense of belonging and peace.
For a long time, I believed that power came with destruction and rage. Maybe it’s my aires moon, but as I sought out power, I was greeted with silence instead. A stillness that allowed me to breathe and grow. This is where my power is. A place that’s safe to exist.
My Sweet Spots
On the days I feel ungrounded and on edge, I seek practices such as these to remind me it’s just a phase:
- Go for a walk – ask mother nature to offer a listening ear and release it in her hands for whatever you need.
- Listen to my favorite playlist or podcast – I usually do this when I go on my walks and I keep adding songs to it!
- Watch a feel-good movie – the kind that is aligned with what you believe in.
- Call a friend or family – in person is always better, but thank God for facetime!
- Create something – dinner, a poem, a centerpiece; anything that’s creative and fun.
The ups and downs are part of the human experience, but how cool would it be to be able to manifest anything you desire? Let me know how it goes.
Much love,
